Holland announced today the Holland Freeze Protection Service designed to protect shipments that have the potential to freeze during transport. The service features technically-engineered and environmentally-friendly CargoQuilt® covers designed to ensure freezable products, such as chemicals, bottled liquids, pharmaceuticals and agricultural products, remain at temperatures greater than 32 degrees Fahrenheit.
"With a 99.8 percent claim-free rate for cold-temperature-sensitive shipments, our experienced service professionals at Holland understand the importance of reliability," said Jeff Rogers, Holland president. "The Holland Freeze Protection Service delivers product integrity and, coupled with extremely reliable on-time delivery, allows supply-chain managers to maintain control of order-cycle times without tying up production or increasing costly on-hand stock."
With thousands of cargo quilts available throughout its network and the most next-day lanes in its service area—which further reduce the likelihood of freezing—Holland is better equipped to protect cold-temperature-sensitive shipments than any other shipping provider.
Unlike many carriers who are either unwilling or unable to effectively maintain the flow of freezable goods during cold weather, particularly over the weekend, Holland makes freezable pickups Monday through Friday for all direct service points, including Ontario and Quebec.
Taking advantage of Holland Freeze Protection Service is easy: Customers simply mark "Protect from freezing" on the Bill of Lading and label the shipment with "Protect from freezing."
For more information about the service or to schedule a pickup, contact your Holland account executive; call customer service at (866) 465-5263 or your local Holland service center.
