Holland receives Canadian Transportation & Logistics Shipper's Choice Award [09.22.2009]

Holland, YRC (noted in the survey as Roadway) and YRC Reimer have been awarded the 2009 Canadian Transportation & Logistics Shipper's Choice Award.

The 8th Annual Shipper's Choice Awards Survey sets industry benchmarks for performance excellence and identifies the carriers who exceed them. Carriers receive the Shipper's Choice Award when their total score meets or surpasses the total benchmark of excellence for their mode.

The survey gives shippers, third-party logistics service providers and freight forwarders across Canada the opportunity to set benchmarks for carrier performance on seven key performance indicators (KPIs) and to rate their top carriers against those benchmarks. The seven indicators include:

• on-time performance
• equipment and operations
• information technology
• competitive pricing
• customer service
• problem solving
• value-added services.

The Shipper's Choice Awards Survey was undertaken in partnership with the Canadian Institute of Traffic and Transportation and the Canadian Industrial Transportation Association, two associations whose members responsible for buying transportation number in the thousands. An independent research firm conducted the research.
